Meet Dr. RoseMary Clairmont
Every journey begins with a dream
I’m Dr. RoseMary Clairmont, a Sicangu Lakota educator, leader, creator, and the founder of Walking with a Vision. My Lakota name carries the meaning Walking with a Dream/Vision Woman. It reminds me that a dream deserves more than a place in our imagination. We can listen to it, give it shape, and take the next step toward it.
For more than 16 years, I have worked in classrooms and education systems. Today, my work includes Indigenous education, partnerships with families and communities, leadership, curriculum, and creating spaces where people can contribute their knowledge. I believe meaningful change begins with relationships and grows when people have a real voice in what they are building together.
Walking with a Vision grew from that same belief. It is a home for the ideas and practices that have shaped my life: reflection, creativity, identity, learning, and the freedom to follow a vision of my own. I created it to share tools and experiences that help others recognize what is already within them and move forward with intention.
Creativity shows up in my life in many ways- from writing and designing journals to photography. Through WyldRose Photography, I’m continuing to develop my eye and explore the way I see the world through a camera. I believe we don’t have to wait until every part of a dream is fully developed before we honor it. Sometimes we give it space, nurture it, and let it grow alongside us.

Braided Wisdom makes room for stories and conversations about leadership, identity, healing, and the wisdom we carry. My workshops, speaking, and consulting connect what I have learned as an educator and leader with people and organizations ready to create meaningful change.
These parts of my work have a common thread: Explore the dream. Create the vision. Cultivate the journey.
